Palladium(II) ammonium chloride(CAT: M065269), often referred to as ammonium tetrachloropalladate(II) ((NH₄)₂[PdCl₄])(\text{(NH₄)₂[PdCl₄]}), is a yellow to orange crystalline coordination compound containing palladium in the +2 oxidation state. It serves as a convenient, water-soluble palladium source in homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, particularly for C–C and C–N bond-forming reactions such as Suzuki, Heck, and Buchwald–Hartwig couplings. In electroplating, it is used to deposit thin, uniform palladium layers for electronics and corrosion-resistant applications. Its stability in aqueous solutions and compatibility with various ligands make it valuable for catalyst preparation and materials synthesis.
