NSC 48160(CAT: I012184) is a multifunctional small molecule with demonstrated antitumor and metabolic regulatory properties. It inhibits the growth of pancreatic cancer cells with IC₅₀ values of 84.3 μM for CFPAC-1 and 94.5 μM for BxPC-3, and effectively induces apoptosis in these cell lines. Beyond its anticancer effects, NSC 48160 shows therapeutic potential in improving metabolic syndromes, including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), obesity, and lipid metabolism disorders. Its dual activity in oncology and metabolic disease models makes it a valuable research tool for studying cancer–metabolism intersections and exploring novel interventions in both fields. Suitable for in vitro and preclinical studies.
