NPG Glycol(Cat No.:R016863), also known as Neopentyl Glycol (NPG), is a diol with the molecular formula C₅H₁₂O₂. It appears as a white crystalline solid or flakes with low volatility and high thermal stability. Due to its unique branched structure, NPG is resistant to oxidation and hydrolysis, making it valuable in the production of polyester resins, plasticizers, lubricants, and synthetic oils. It enhances weathering and chemical resistance in coatings and paints. NPG is also used in personal care formulations. While generally low in toxicity, it should be handled with care to avoid skin and eye irritation.
