N-Succinimido (+)-biotin (Cat No.: R000427), also known as NHS-biotin, is an activated form of biotin (vitamin B7) used for efficient bioconjugation. It contains a N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester moiety, which reacts readily with primary amines on proteins, peptides, and other biomolecules to form stable amide bonds. This compound is widely used in biochemistry, molecular biology, and immunology for labeling or immobilizing biomolecules in affinity assays, Western blots, and ELISAs. Its chirality and reactivity ensure selective and high-yield coupling in aqueous or organic systems.
