N-Isopropyl-N′-phenyl-1,4-phenylenediamine (Cat No.: M067781) is an aromatic amine antioxidant commonly used in rubber and elastomer formulations. Its primary function is to inhibit oxidative degradation and protect against ozone and flex cracking, significantly extending the lifespan of tires and industrial rubber products. IPPD exhibits high reactivity toward ozone and oxygen radicals due to its para-phenylenediamine structure. Although effective, it may cause staining and discoloration in light-colored rubber goods. It is also monitored for potential environmental and toxicological impacts in regulatory contexts.
