n-Butane(Cat No.:M067351) is a colorless, flammable, and easily liquefied gas with the chemical formula C₄H₁₀, consisting of a straight-chain arrangement of four carbon atoms. It is a saturated hydrocarbon (alkane) and a component of natural gas and petroleum. Widely used as a fuel, refrigerant, and aerosol propellant, n-butane is also a key feedstock in petrochemical processes such as the production of butadiene and other synthetic materials. It is stored under pressure as a liquid and vaporizes rapidly at room temperature. While generally safe when properly handled, it poses explosion and asphyxiation hazards in confined spaces.
