Myxothiazol（Cat No.:I015060）is a potent natural antibiotic isolated from Myxobacteria. It functions as a respiratory chain inhibitor, specifically targeting the cytochrome bc1 complex (Complex III) in mitochondria. By blocking electron transfer between ubiquinol and cytochrome c1, it halts ATP production and disrupts cellular respiration. This makes it a valuable tool in bioenergetics research for studying mitochondrial function, oxidative phosphorylation, and reactive oxygen species generation.
