MitoBloCK-6 (Cat No.: I045519) is a small-molecule inhibitor targeting the mitochondrial import and assembly protein Tim44, thereby disrupting protein translocation into mitochondria. By impairing mitochondrial function, MitoBloCK-6 induces apoptosis and sensitizes cells to metabolic stress. Researchers use it to study mitochondrial biology, apoptosis pathways, and the role of protein import in cell survival. Its ability to modulate mitochondrial integrity makes it valuable for investigating cancer metabolism, neurodegeneration, and other diseases linked to mitochondrial dysfunction, as well as for developing therapeutic strategies targeting mitochondria.
