LSP-249 (CAT: I016403), described in patent WO2016011209A1, is a potent small-molecule plasma kallikrein inhibitor with an EC₅₀ below 100 nM in cellular assays. Plasma kallikrein plays a central role in the kallikrein–kinin system, contributing to the excessive bradykinin production observed in hereditary and acquired angioedema.
