Lithium Nickel Manganese Oxide (LNMO, LMNO; CAS 12031-75-3) is a high-performance spinel-structured cathode material for lithium-ion batteries, delivering a theoretical capacity of 146.8 mAh·g⁻¹, an energy density of 650 Wh·kg⁻¹, and an operating voltage of 4.7 V vs. Li/Li⁺. Its robust framework enables full lithiation and delithiation without structural degradation, ensuring exceptional cycling stability. With low cost, excellent thermal stability, and reduced nickel content, LNMO offers advantages over LiFePO₄ and LiCoO₂, making it ideal for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). N-doped LNMO further enhances rate capability, maintaining 103 mAh·g⁻¹ after 8000 cycles at 25 °C and 92% retention after 1000 cycles at 60 °C.
