L-Thioproline(Cat No.: R022864), also known as (2S)-1,3-thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid, is a sulfur-containing heterocyclic amino acid structurally similar to proline but with a thiazolidine ring instead of a pyrrolidine. It is the L-enantiomer and exhibits chirality at the 2-position. L-Thioproline has applications in biochemical and pharmaceutical research, particularly as a proline analog in peptide synthesis and protein engineering.
