L-AP6 (CAT: I010195) is an antagonist of the excitatory amino acid transporter subtype 3 (EAAT3), also known as glutamate transporter 1 (GLT-1). EAAT3 is a sodium-dependent transporter responsible for the reuptake of glutamate, an important neurotransmitter in the central nervous system.
