Janelia Fluor® 646, Maleimide(Cat No.:I045769)is a far-red fluorescent dye engineered with a maleimide reactive group for selective labeling of thiol groups on cysteine residues in proteins and peptides. With excitation and emission maxima near 646/664 nm, it provides exceptional brightness, low background, and photostability, making it highly suited for confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, and super-resolution imaging. Its far-red fluorescence reduces cellular autofluorescence and supports multiplexing with other dyes.
