ITIC-4F is an advanced derivative of ITIC designed to improve light absorption and device performance in organic photovoltaics (OPVs). With a higher absorption coefficient and a red-shifted spectrum due to enhanced intramolecular charge transfer, ITIC-4F enables broader solar harvesting and increased power conversion efficiency (PCE). Its deeper HOMO/LUMO energy levels provide superior compatibility with polymer donor semiconductors and enhance device stability. In inverted OPV structures (ITO/ZnO/PBDB-T-SF:IT-4F/MoO₃/Al), ITIC-4F has achieved efficiencies exceeding 13%, establishing it as a benchmark non-fullerene acceptor for next-generation high-efficiency and stable organic solar cells.
