ITH12575(Cat No.:I007391)is a potent and selective inhibitor of the mitochondrial Na⁺/Ca²⁺ exchanger (mNCX), derived from CGP37157. It effectively reduces calcium efflux from mitochondria to the cytosol in HeLa cells, exhibiting an EC₅₀ of 0.69 μM . At higher concentrations, it also diminishes calcium influx through the CALHM1 channel, which plays a role in neuronal electrical activity . ITH12575 has demonstrated neuroprotective effects, safeguarding against glutamate-induced excitotoxicity in rat hippocampal slices and oxidative stress in neuroblastoma cells .
