IR-806 (Cat No.: I042351) is a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye belonging to the heptamethine cyanine family, widely used in imaging and photothermal therapy applications. Its strong NIR absorption and emission enable deep tissue penetration with minimal background autofluorescence, making it ideal for in vivo tumor imaging and tracking. IR-806 exhibits preferential accumulation in cancer cells due to membrane potential differences and transport mechanisms. Additionally, it has photothermal properties, allowing it to convert NIR light into heat, making it useful for cancer theranostics.
