Indocyanine Green (CAT: R048884) is a near-infrared fluorescent dye widely used in medical diagnostics and surgical imaging. Upon intravenous injection, it rapidly binds to plasma proteins and is exclusively cleared by the liver, making it ideal for assessing hepatic function, cardiac output, and blood flow. Its near-infrared properties enable deep tissue penetration and real-time visualization during angiography, tumor mapping, and image-guided surgery. ICG is also used in ophthalmology to evaluate retinal and choroidal circulation. With a strong safety record, it has become an essential tool in clinical diagnostics, biomedical research, and photothermal or photoacoustic imaging technologies.
