IEM-1460(Cat No.:I010436)is a synthetic, voltage-dependent open-channel blocker that selectively targets calcium-permeable AMPA receptors lacking the GluA2 subunit. It exhibits high potency, with an IC₅₀ of 2.6 μM for GluA2-lacking receptors, compared to 1102 μM for GluA2-containing receptors . Additionally, IEM-1460 blocks NMDA receptor-mediated currents and has demonstrated anticonvulsant effects in vivo . Its selectivity makes it a valuable tool for studying excitatory neurotransmission and neuronal circuit dynamics in neuroscience research.
