GW-803430 (CAT: I007158) is a potent and selective melanin-concentrating hormone receptor 1 (MCHR1) antagonist with a pIC50 of 9.3 and an IC50 of ~13 nM for MCH-induced receptor activation. Orally bioavailable and brain-penetrant (brain:plasma ratio 6:1), GW-803430 exhibits favorable pharmacokinetics (bioavailability 31%, t½ = 11 h). In preclinical models of obesity, daily oral administration (0.3–15 mg/kg) produces sustained, dose-dependent weight loss compared with controls. With its strong receptor selectivity and CNS exposure, GW-803430 is a valuable tool for studying energy balance, feeding behavior, obesity, and metabolic disease mechanisms.
