Glycolithocholic acid (Cat No.: R012628) is a conjugated bile acid, formed from lithocholic acid and glycine, that plays a role in bile acid metabolism and enterohepatic circulation. It contributes to lipid digestion, cholesterol homeostasis, and signaling through bile acid receptors such as FXR and TGR5. Abnormal levels of glycolithocholic acid are associated with cholestasis, liver injury, and gastrointestinal disorders. In research, it is widely used to study bile acid biochemistry, gut microbiota interactions, and metabolic disease mechanisms, supporting hepatology and gastrointestinal pharmacology.
