GLPG1205(CAT:I017330) is a potent, selective, and orally active GPR84 antagonist with a favorable PK/PD profile. It demonstrates strong anti-inflammatory activity and is under investigation for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and other inflammatory disorders. In neutrophils, GLPG1205 inhibits ZQ16-induced Ca²⁺ signaling and ROS production, with an IC50 of 15 nM. In vivo, oral dosing significantly reduces fibrosis scores, collagen deposition, and oxidative stress markers in preclinical IPF models. Additionally, GLPG1205 contains an alkyne group, enabling click chemistry (CuAAC) applications for chemical biology. This dual pharmacological and chemical versatility makes it valuable for fibrosis, IBD, and inflammation research.
