GLP-2 (rat)(Cat No.:M035499)is a 33-amino acid peptide derived from the post-translational processing of proglucagon in intestinal L-cells. In rats, it functions as a potent intestinotrophic hormone, promoting mucosal growth, enhancing nutrient absorption, and improving barrier function in the gastrointestinal tract. GLP-2 also regulates gastric motility, reduces epithelial apoptosis, and supports mucosal repair following injury. Its activity is mediated through the GLP-2 receptor, primarily expressed in gut tissues. GLP-2 (rat) is widely used in research on intestinal physiology, nutrient metabolism, and therapeutic strategies for gastrointestinal disorders.
