Gemcitabine elaidate hydrochloride（Cat No.:I044518）is a lipophilic prodrug of gemcitabine, a nucleoside analog used in chemotherapy for various cancers, including pancreatic, lung, and breast cancers. In this modified form, gemcitabine is conjugated with elaidic acid (a trans-unsaturated fatty acid) to enhance membrane permeability, metabolic stability, and drug retention. The hydrochloride salt improves aqueous solubility for formulation. Once inside the cell, the prodrug is metabolized to release active gemcitabine, which inhibits DNA synthesis and induces apoptosis.
