Fluazifop-butyl(Cat No.:R069442)is a selective post-emergence herbicide with the molecular formula C19H20F3NO4. It belongs to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate (AOPP) class and is primarily used to control grass weeds in broadleaf crops such as soybeans, cotton, and vegetables. It functions by inhibiting acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), a key enzyme in fatty acid synthesis, ultimately disrupting cell membrane formation in target grasses. Fluazifop-butyl is absorbed through foliage and translocated to growing points, leading to plant death. It is formulated as an ester for improved uptake and degrades into the active acid form within plant tissues.
