FK102-Co(III)TFSI salt, is a cobalt-based complex widely employed as an electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and as a p-type dopant for Spiro-MeOTAD in perovskite solar cells. Typically used in combination with LiTFSI and 4-tert-butylpyridine (TBP), it enhances charge transport and device efficiency. Compared with traditional triiodide-based redox electrolytes, cobalt complexes such as FK102-Co(III)TFSI deliver higher photovoltages and superior performance, particularly under low-light conditions. This makes it especially advantageous for indoor photovoltaic applications, where it enables significantly improved power output and stability, advancing next-generation solar energy conversion technologies.
