Ferric acetylacetonate (Cat No.: M052576) is a coordination compound where a ferric ion (Fe³⁺) is chelated by three acetylacetonate ligands. It appears as a dark red or maroon crystalline solid and is soluble in organic solvents. This compound is widely used as a catalyst, precursor for iron-containing materials, and reagent in organic synthesis. Its thermal stability and volatility make it suitable for chemical vapor deposition (CVD) in thin film fabrication. Ferric acetylacetonate is also employed in polymerization, sol-gel processes, and nanomaterial synthesis.
