Estrone(Cat No.:A000974)is a naturally occurring estrogen steroid hormone with the molecular formula C18H22O2. It is one of the three main estrogens in the human body, alongside estradiol and estriol, and is primarily produced in the ovaries, adipose tissue, and adrenal glands. Estrone plays a key role in the development and maintenance of female reproductive tissues and secondary sexual characteristics. It is less potent than estradiol but becomes the predominant estrogen after menopause. Estrone is used in hormone replacement therapy and can be administered orally or transdermally. Excess levels may be associated with certain cancers.
