ELOVL1-IN-3 (Cat No.:I045156) is a potent and orally active inhibitor of the enzyme ELOVL1, which elongates very-long-chain fatty acids. In HEK293 cells, 100 nM (48 h) treatment selectively suppresses ELOVL1-mediated C26:0 lysophosphatidylcholine synthesis. Orally administered (1–32 mg/kg once daily for 3 months) in ABCD1‑knockout mice markedly lowers blood C26:0 LPC to near wild‑type levels; similar reductions are seen in Sprague‑Dawley rats and cynomolgus monkeys.
