(E/Z)-Necrosulfonamide (Cat No.: R056251) is a cell-permeable small molecule that inhibits mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein (MLKL), a key effector in the necroptosis pathway—a regulated form of programmed necrotic cell death. The (E/Z) notation indicates the presence of geometric isomers, which may influence biological activity. By binding covalently to MLKL, (E/Z)-Necrosulfonamide prevents its oligomerization and membrane translocation, thereby blocking necroptosis. It is widely used in cell death and inflammation research to explore therapeutic strategies for diseases involving necroinflammatory damage, such as neurodegeneration and ischemia.
