Ditridecylamine(CAT: E000022) is a high molecular weight, branched or linear secondary aliphatic amine consisting of two tridecyl (C₁₃) alkyl chains attached to a nitrogen atom. It is widely used in surfactant synthesis, lubricant additives, antistatic agents, and corrosion inhibitors, particularly in metalworking fluids, fuel formulations, and industrial coatings. Ditridecylamine exhibits excellent hydrophobicity, thermal stability, and film-forming properties, making it suitable for applications requiring long-chain amine functionality and water repellency. It can also be used as an intermediate in the preparation of quaternary ammonium compounds, amine oxides, and other functionalized surfactants for specialty chemical applications.
