Diethylamino sulfur trifluoride (Cat No.:R058266), commonly abbreviated as DAST, is a fluorinating agent widely used in organic synthesis. It is a member of the (dialkylamino) sulfur trifluoride family. DAST is a nucleophilic fluorinating reagent, mainly used as a fluorinating reagent and a fluorinating agent for anticancer drugs. It can convert hydroxyl compounds into mono-fluoro compounds, and aldehydes and ketones into difluoro compounds, but does not affect the carbonyl group of carboxylic acids and their derivatives.
