Diclofenac amide (Cat No.: R011203) is an amide derivative of diclofenac, a widely used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). In this modified form, the carboxylic acid group of diclofenac is converted to an amide, which may alter its pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties. This structural change can improve membrane permeability, reduce gastrointestinal irritation, and affect metabolic stability. Diclofenac amide is often explored in medicinal chemistry for developing prodrugs or new formulations aimed at enhancing therapeutic efficacy and reducing side effects associated with conventional NSAIDs.
