DBCO-PEG8-NHS ester(Cat No.:I045933)is a heterobifunctional crosslinker featuring a dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) group and an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester, connected by a PEG8 spacer. The DBCO moiety undergoes fast, copper-free strain-promoted azide–alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with azides, enabling highly selective and biocompatible conjugation. The NHS ester reacts efficiently with primary amines to form stable amide bonds, facilitating covalent attachment to proteins, peptides, or surfaces. The PEG8 chain enhances solubility, imparts flexibility, and reduces steric hindrance.
