Cyclohexanol (Cat No.: R022445) is a saturated alicyclic alcohol with the chemical formula C₆H₁₂O, consisting of a six-membered cyclohexane ring bearing a hydroxyl group. It appears as a colorless, viscous liquid or solid with a camphor-like odor and is moderately soluble in water. Cyclohexanol is primarily used as an intermediate in the production of nylon, specifically in the synthesis of adipic acid and caprolactam. It is also employed in the manufacture of plasticizers, solvents, and pharmaceuticals. Industrially, it is produced via oxidation of cyclohexane.
