Copper(II) acetate(Cat No.:R060930), with the chemical formula Cu(CH₃COO)₂ or Cu(OAc)₂, is a dark green to bluish crystalline solid commonly used as a reagent and catalyst in organic and inorganic chemistry. It typically exists as a hydrated dimer, known as copper(II) acetate monohydrate, where two copper atoms are bridged by four acetate groups. It is widely employed in oxidation reactions, including the formation of C–C and C–N bonds, and in the preparation of other copper-containing compounds. Additionally, it finds use in textile dyeing, fungicides, and as a pigment in historical and artistic applications.
