Combretastatin A-1 (Cat No.: M004991) is a natural stilbene derivative first isolated from the African bush willow (Combretum caffrum). It belongs to the combretastatin family of vascular-disrupting agents that target tubulin, destabilizing microtubules and blocking mitosis. By collapsing tumor blood vessels, Combretastatin A-1 induces ischemia and necrosis within solid tumors. It has been studied as both a standalone agent and in combination therapies for cancer treatment. Its potent cytotoxic and anti-angiogenic activities make it a valuable lead compound in oncology drug development.
