CM10(CAT: I016819) is a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of the aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A (ALDH1A) family, with IC₅₀ values of 1.7 μM (ALDH1A1), 740 nM (ALDH1A2), and 640 nM (ALDH1A3). It shows no inhibitory activity against other ALDH isoforms, highlighting its specificity. In cellular assays, CM10 (12.5–100 μM, 1 h) suppresses ALDEFLUOR activity and preferentially depletes CD133⁺ ovarian cancer stem-like cells (CSCs). Mechanistically, it induces a necroptotic phenotype characterized by cellular and nuclear swelling. With its dual role in regulating metabolism and targeting CSCs, CM10 is a valuable probe for cancer biology and therapeutic development.
