C.I. Pigment Black 11(Cat No.:M066572), also known as mars black or iron oxide black, is an inorganic pigment composed primarily of ferric ferrous oxide (Fe₃O₄ or magnetite). It appears as a deep black powder with excellent opacity, lightfastness, and weather resistance. Commonly used in coatings, plastics, inks, and construction materials, it provides durable, UV-stable coloration. Pigment Black 11 is non-toxic, chemically stable, and environmentally friendly, making it a preferred alternative to carbon black in applications requiring lower conductivity.
