Chlorodiphenylphosphine (Cat No.: M070793) is an organophosphorus compound featuring a phosphorus atom bonded to two phenyl groups and one chlorine atom. This colorless to pale yellow liquid is moisture-sensitive and emits acidic fumes upon hydrolysis. It is widely used as a reagent and intermediate in the synthesis of phosphine ligands, flame retardants, and agrochemicals. Due to its reactive P–Cl bond, it undergoes nucleophilic substitution to form phosphine derivatives. Chlorodiphenylphosphine is also employed in the preparation of coordination complexes for catalytic applications.
