CFTR Corrector 4 (CAT: I016881) is the active (R,R)-enantiomer and a highly potent, orally active modulator of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) protein. It enhances CFTR folding, stability, and trafficking, thereby increasing channel levels at the cell surface. In functional assays, CFTR Corrector 4 demonstrates exceptional potency, with an EC₅₀ of 0.028 μM in the HBE-TECC assay and 130 nM in the CSE-HRP assay. Despite its high efficacy, the compound resides in an undesirable drug-like space due to high molecular weight and elevated lipophilicity. CFTR Corrector 4 is a valuable lead molecule for cystic fibrosis research and drug development.
