CDE-096(Cat No.:I024276)is a selective small-molecule antagonist of the P2X7 receptor, a ligand-gated ion channel activated by extracellular ATP and implicated in inflammation, immune responses, and cell death. By inhibiting P2X7, CDE-096 blocks downstream signaling pathways, including NLRP3 inflammasome activation and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) release. It has shown promise in preclinical models of inflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease. CDE-096 is used in research to study purinergic signaling and its role in immune regulation, making it a valuable tool for developing anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective therapies.
