CCCI-01(CAT: I012740) is a selective centrosome clustering inhibitor that disrupts the ability of cancer cells to cluster supernumerary centrosomes, leading to multipolar spindle formation and mitotic catastrophe. By targeting this vulnerability unique to many cancer cells—while sparing normal cells—CCCI-01 exhibits selective anticancer activity with minimal off-target toxicity. It represents a novel therapeutic strategy for the development of non-cross-resistant anticancer agents, particularly effective against tumors that have developed resistance to traditional chemotherapeutics. CCCI-01 is a valuable research tool for studying centrosome dynamics, mitotic regulation, and chromosomal instability in the context of targeted cancer therapy.
