Cadaverine(Cat No.:R043205), also known as 1,5-pentanediamine, is a foul-smelling diamine formed by the bacterial decarboxylation of the amino acid lysine during the decomposition of animal tissue. It is a linear aliphatic molecule with two amino groups located at each end of a five-carbon chain. Cadaverine plays a role in cellular metabolism and is naturally found in small amounts in living organisms. In industry, it is used as a building block for the synthesis of polyamides, resins, and corrosion inhibitors. It is also studied as a biomarker for bacterial activity and tissue degradation.
