Bucindolol (Cat No.: R043626) is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist with mild intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, primarily investigated for the treatment of chronic heart failure and hypertension. It acts by blocking β₁- and β₂-adrenergic receptors, reducing heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand. Bucindolol also exhibits vasodilatory properties through alpha-adrenergic antagonism. Its pharmacologic profile has been studied for potential benefits in genetically defined subpopulations of heart failure patients. Bucindolol is used in clinical research and cardiovascular pharmacology under regulated conditions.
