Biotin-PEG4-hydrazide(CAT: I016789) is a biotinylated probe containing a reactive hydrazide group and a PEG4 spacer. The hydrazide functionality selectively reacts with aldehydes and ketones, forming stable hydrazone linkages, making it highly useful for conjugation with oxidized glycans, carbohydrates, and other carbonyl-containing biomolecules. The PEG4 chain enhances solubility, reduces steric hindrance, and provides flexibility to improve conjugation efficiency. The biotin moiety enables strong, specific binding to streptavidin or avidin systems, supporting sensitive detection, enrichment, and immobilization. Biotin-PEG4-hydrazide is widely applied in glycoproteomics, chemical biology, and biomolecular labeling for studies of protein–carbohydrate interactions and targeted assay development.
