ATX-II TFA(CAT: I040246) is a potent sodium (Na⁺) channel modulator toxin derived from the venom of the sea anemone Anemonia sulcata. It acts by delaying Na⁺ channel inactivation, prolonging action potentials and enhancing neuronal and cardiac excitability. ATX-II is widely used in electrophysiological studies and cardiac research for modeling Na⁺-channel dysfunction and early afterdepolarizations. Notably, it induces pulmonary vein arrhythmogenesis and atrial fibrillation, making it a valuable tool for studying cardiac rhythm disorders and antiarrhythmic drug development. ATX-II TFA is essential for dissecting channelopathies, cardiac electrophysiology, and toxin-channel interactions.
