Atrosab(CAT: I040394) is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody designed to selectively antagonize TNF receptor 1 (TNFR1), sparing TNFR2 to preserve tissue homeostasis and innate immune function. It binds the N-terminal region of TNFR1 with high affinity, effectively blocking TNF‑α and lymphotoxin‑α signaling. In vitro, Atrosab inhibits TNF-induced apoptosis and release of IL‑6 and IL‑8. In vivo studies show it reduces acute-phase proteins, improves arthritis scores in primate and mouse arthritis models, and prevents paralysis and neuroinflammation in EAE/multiple sclerosis models. With a favorable safety profile and Fc-engineering that neutralizes effector functions, Atrosab is a powerful research reagent for inflammation, neuroimmunology, and autoimmune disease studies.
