Asundexian (Cat No.:I022570) is an oral, selective inhibitor of activated coagulation Factor XIa, developed to prevent thromboembolic events while minimizing bleeding risk. Unlike traditional anticoagulants that target broader points in the coagulation cascade, asundexian specifically inhibits Factor XIa, a key enzyme in the intrinsic pathway linked to pathological thrombosis but less essential for normal hemostasis. This targeted approach offers the potential for safer long-term anticoagulation. Asundexian is currently in clinical trials for conditions such as atrial fibrillation, stroke prevention, and acute coronary syndromes.
