Anisaldehyde(Cat No.: R021061), also known as 4-methoxybenzaldehyde, is an aromatic aldehyde featuring a methoxy group at the para (4) position relative to the aldehyde group on a benzene ring. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a sweet, floral scent, commonly found in essential oils such as anise and fennel. Anisaldehyde is widely used in the fragrance and flavor industries, as well as in organic synthesis as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and dyes. It also serves as a reagent in thin-layer chromatography (TLC) staining.
