Aminooxy-PEG5-azide(CAT: I014065) is a heterobifunctional polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker designed for versatile bioconjugation. It features an aminooxy group at one end, which reacts selectively with aldehydes and ketones through oxime ligation, enabling stable, chemoselective coupling to carbonyl-containing biomolecules such as glycans, glycoproteins, or oxidized polysaccharides. At the other end, the azide group allows highly efficient copper-catalyzed or strain-promoted azide–alkyne cycloaddition (“click chemistry”) with terminal alkynes. The PEG5 spacer improves aqueous solubility, reduces steric hindrance, and increases molecular flexibility, making this reagent ideal for dual labeling, site-specific modification, and the creation of multifunctional bioconjugates in chemical biology, glycobiology, and materials research.
